For more than 25 years, Laurin Bludau has been advising companies in the real estate sector as well as institutional investors and private clients on all legal matters arising in connection with the acquisition, development, management and disposal of real estate. In the context of transactions, he conducts due diligence reviews on both the buyer’s and the seller’s side and structures and negotiates real estate purchase agreements (land purchase agreements — asset deals — or share purchase agreements — share deals).
Another focus of his practice is advising real estate companies with long-term property holdings on commercial lease law and on all aspects of property and asset management.
Laurin Bludau also has particular expertise in matters relating to hotel real estate, especially with regard to hotel lease agreements as well as to operator and to management agreements.
As a notary, the focus of his work lies in Real Estate Law (in particular land purchase agreements, transfer agreements, the creation of securities and declarations of division), corporate law (company formations, share transfers and corporate reorganisations) and inheritance law (inheritance agreements, wills, estate settlements and legacy fulfilment agreements), as well as lasting powers of attorney and advance healthcare directives and, finally, family law (marital agreements and divorce settlement agreements).
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Laurin Bludau worked as in-house counsel within the Dresdner Bank Group, where he was responsible for the legal matters relating to the real estate assets of the bank’s open-ended real estate funds and for the bank’s own property portfolio both from a legal and a commercial perspective.
